THOMPSON – Roger Turbush held off the charges of Frank Dumicich Jr. for the lead with five laps remaining and held on to win the 20-lap Mr. Rooter New England Truck Series season opening event at Icebreaker 2015 at Thompson Speedway Saturday.
Dumicich ended up in the wall with a flat with five laps remaining after battling door-to-door with Turbush for the lead.
Erin Dumicich-Solomito of East Quoque, N.Y. was second and Ed Puleo of Branford third.
Tyler Hines of North Haven held off Corey Barry of Plainfield to win the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature.
Matt Swanson of Acton, Mass. was third.
Scott Michalski of Killingly won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature.
Nick Anderson of Oxford, Mass. was second and Eric Bourgeois of East Haddam third.
