For the first time since the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award was introduced in 2013, we have a tie.
Alexandra Fearn looked to be in the running to win her second consecutive week New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.
Fearn accomplished the task, but she will share the glory this week.
Fearn and Michael Scorzelli tied for the award this week.
In voting this week, both Fearn and Scorzelli earned 232 votes (41 percent). Nick Salvar was third in the ballotting with 80 votes.
Fearn, of East Longmeadow, won for the second consecutive week in the DARE Stock feature Friday at Stafford. Scorzelli got his first victory of the season in the Late Model feature Friday at Stafford.
Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Fearn and Scorzelli will each receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
