Jeff Rocco made the night of his first career Late Model victory last Wednesday so nice he did it twice.
Rocco, of Wallingford, won the first of two 20-lap Late Model features last Wednesday at Thompson Speedway, and then finished the evening off by winning the 10-lap Late Model shootout.
And the spoils of victory kept rolling in this week as Rocco won the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.
Rocco garnered 105 of the 317 votes cast for the award this week to capture 33.1 percent of the ballots.
Phil Evans, who won his first career DARE Stock feature last Friday at Stafford, was second in the voting with 78 votes (24.6 percent).
Each week during the 2015 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Rocco will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
