It took Ryan Preece 12 races into the season to win his first SK Modified feature of 2015 at Stafford Motor Speedway on July 10.

The Berlin driver wasted no time getting his second.

Preece won for the second consecutive week in the 40-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Division points leader Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, Pa. was second and Joey Cipriano of Waterbury third.

Preece’s first win of the season came in the NAPA SK 5K on July 10.

“It’s owed all to my crew. Mike Paquette, me and him we’re setting the car up on Thursday nights and we have a lot of fun doing it,” Preece said. “This whole team, it’s a real close knit bunch of guys. … This car was really good tonight and it’s only going to get better.”

Preece began his day Friday in Loudon, N.H. with the Whelen Modified Tour at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

He was involved in a wild three-car battle for victory in the Whelen All-Star Shootout and finished second to Woody Pitkat in the event.

Preece was one of four drivers competing in the SK Modified feature that also competed Friday afternoon in Loudon. Pennink, Ted Christopher and Keith Rocco also ran the All-Star Shootout.

Comments

  1. Only 15 SK’s and no fans very sad. Stafford dying a slow death. Maybe a fast death.
Can anyone say Headline Division SK Lite.

  2. Fact check says

SK lites should headline because the SK’s had 15 cars?
    They had 14 SK Lites….
