Al Stone III Wins New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award

NE Racing Fuel Support Performer Award

Saturday Al Stone III celebrated once again in victory lane at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl after scoring victory in the Limited Sportsman feature at the shoreline oval.

This morning the celebration continues for the Durham driver.

Stone collected 141 of 405 votes this week (34.8 percent) to win the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.

Ken Cassidy Jr. of Lisbon, the Mini Stock division winner at the Speedbowl Saturday was second in the voting with 95 votes (23.5 percent).

Jeff Rocco of Wallingford, the Late Model winner last Wednesday at Thompson Speedway, and Dave Trudea of Mansfied, the Mini Stock winner at Thompson, tied for third with 49 votes each (12.1 percent).

Each week during the 2015 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Stone will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.

  1. Congrats to Stone. On another note, who would of thought Chris Meyers would be the driver to be suspended for the rest of the season. But when you go after someone in the pits, that’s what happens. You could say Waterman got what he deserved. He seems to be a bit out of control on the track this year.
