With a second consecutive DARE Stock championship at Stafford Motor Speedway edging closer, Frank L’Etoile did the best he could Friday to ensure that possibility of happening.
And in winning Friday at Stafford Speedway, the Wethersfield driver set himself up for a little bit extra this week.
L’Etoile led the way in voting this week for the New England Racing Support Performer of the Week Award.
L’Etoile got 69 of the 194 votes cast this week (35.6 percent).
Ed Gerstsch Jr., the Limited Sportsman feature winner Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl was runner-up in the voting with 42 vote (21.6 percent).
Each week during the 2015 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
L’Etoile will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
