STAFFORD – For most of the 2015 racing season Mother Natured smiled kindly upon the folks at Stafford Motor Speedway.

The track had only one rained out weekly show this season.

But it seems the weather gods have decided to really mess with NAPA Fall Final weekend at the track.

Forecasts yesterday called for clearing of precipitation from the area early this morning, but those predictions seem slightly off.

Steady light rain and drizzle has put the NAPA Fall Final Weekend Saturday schedule on hold for the time being.

Track crews have been on the half-mile oval for most of the last two hours working to keep the track ready should precipitation come to a complete halt.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice had been scheduld to begin at 11:30 a.m. As of just before noon there has been no word on how today’s schedule will be modified.

The schedule today was to include practice and qualifying for all divisions on hand and features for the SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, DARE Stock and Legends.

The positive coming out of the morning? Sunday’s forecast shows predictions for partly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-50’s
