NASCAR, NBCSN Reveal Whelen Modified Tour Broadcast Schedule For 2016

NBCSN LogoNASCAR and NBC Sports Group have announced a telecast lineup of 12 races on NBCSN for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours.

The 2016 telecast schedule features races from five of the sport’s most iconic short tracks and five companion events at NASCAR national series facilities. Included in the slate are the season finale championship events for both the Whelen Modified Tour and Whelen Southern Modified Tour.

The 2016 season marks the second for NASCAR’s only open-wheel divisions on NBCSN. All 12 races will be presented by NBCSN in one-hour shows. The full NASCAR regional touring series NBCSN schedule covers 37 events.


  • June 15: Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park; Telecast: Wednesday, June 22, 6 p.m.
  • July 15: New Hampshire Motor Speedway (All Star Event); Telecast: Thursday., July 21, 7 p.m.
  • July 16: New Hampshire Motor Speedway; Telecast: Thursday, July 21, 6 p.m.
  • Aug. 10: Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park; Telecast: Friday, Aug. 26, 8 p.m.
  • Aug. 17: Bristol Motor Speedway; Telecast: Friday, Aug. 26, 9 p.m.
  • Aug. 27: Riverhead Raceway; Telecast Thursday, Sept. 1, 7 p.m.
  • Sept. 24: New Hampshire Motor Speedway; Telecast: Thursday Sept. 29, 7 p.m.
  • Oct. 2: Stafford Motor Speedway: Telecast: Thursday, Oct. 6, 12:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 16: Thompson Speedway; Friday, Oct. 21, 1 p.m.

    because it’s a 1/5th mile track…..

  4. Wish the Monadnock race would be telecast. Always a great show there.
