Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl it was the newest generation of the racing family proving that point once again.
Ten-year old Tyler Barry, the grandson of legendary Modified Team owner Art Barry and son of longtime Modified driver Ken Barry, won the 20-lap Bandolero feature at the Bud Blastoff 2016 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
Tyler Barry was making his track debut in the event.
Ethan Durocher of Plainfield was second and Andrew Morin of Old Saybrook was third on the track but disqualified for an illegal gear, moving Charles Prinz of Higganum to third.
Prinz led the first 14 laps of the event but on lap 15 a lapped car made contact with Prinz, dropping him to fourth and allowing Tyler Barry to take over the lead. Tyler Barry and Durocher battled side-by-side over the closing laps.
Way to go Tyler!
Great job Tyler you drove an awesome race. You were never rattled and dad Ken and grandfather Art I know you are proud!
These are going carts
I got a golf cart that faster
I may buy that track and make it a mall
jeffreyt, I figured you just might have enough class to congratulate a 10 year old on his first victory in what will be a stepping stone to bigger and better things. How stupid of me, I should know better than that, class is not in your vocabulary.
I’m thinking the NWMT #21 will be back soon…
You sir are a moron of epic proportions. Did you get dropped on your head as a kid?Go troll someplace else losser. Not to mention people who talk and think like you would never have the money or connections to buy much more than a used Buick.
