In early May, before making his first career start in a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, 14-year old Jacob Perry said he couldn’t wait to add another Perry to the win list at the historic shoreline oval.

That wait didn’t last long.

Perry, of Pawcatuck, scored his first career Mini Stock division Saturday in the division’s 25-lap feature Saturday night at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

Wayne Burroughs Jr. of Oakdale was second and Sean Caron of East Hampton third.

In the 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature it was Keith Rocco of Wallingford scoring his fourth victory of the season. Ted Christopher of Plainville was second and Diego Monahan of Quaker Hill third.

Chris Meyer of Norwich won the first 25-lap Limited Sportsman feature.

Monte Gibbs of Killingworth took the victory on the track in the second 25-lap Limited Sportsman feature but was later disqualified, handing the victory to Josh Galvin of Oakdale.

Chris Correll of Old Lyme got his first win of the season in the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature.
