NAPA Fall Final At Stafford Motor Speedway Postponed To Oct. 8-9


Stafford Fall Final Logo 2015Weather has won the weekend at Stafford Motor Speedway before a motor could even be started.

With a forecast calling for showers throughout the weekend, Stafford Motor Speedway officials made the decision Friday afternoon to postpone this weekend’s NAPA Fall Final at the half-mile oval.

The event will now be run Oct. 8 – 9 at Stafford with the Whelen Modified Tour NAPA Fall Final 150 remaining as the anchor event of the weekend.

The weekend will also see championships decided in Stafford’s weekly Late Model, SK Light Modified Limited Late Model and DARE Stock divisions. Rowan Pennink has already clinched the track’s SK Modified championship before the final event of the season.

    That’s a giant disappointment… I hope the Hurricane Matthew doesn’t alter the weight transfer in the upper level atmospheric jet stream and cause next weekend to be a washout as well.

  3. Liz, it looks like the Bernoulli Effect will induce a threat of precipitation due to the virtual venturi between low pressure systems that will dump moisture.

    Plainville Stadium Reunion at the Berlin Fairgrounds next Saturday as well. We need the rain but it hasn’t rained all Summer in Ct, You make racing plans and its like we live in the Tropics.

  9. I just saw the pictures of Oswego Speedway covered in dirt. Pretty cool. Then clean it all off for ROC 250 at end of Oct.

    There’s a good chance that Stafford just hosed themselves with this possible hurricane coming by cancelling this weekend.

  15. I’ll be watching the return of another superstar next weekend. Wears #12. Stafford has plenty of weekends left to get the show in. No big deal.

  16. Well, here we are in a severe drought and it has to rain on race dates. Go figure. It’s been persistently drizzly here, with extremely low clouds, sometimes the tree tops are hidden. Good call to postpone.

  18. Preece has entered ROC 250. Also, 54 big block mods at Oswego and it’s only Wednesday.
