The originally scheduled second day of the Bemers Big Show on Sunday was run fully. … The final racing event of the season in Connecticut. … Jason Palmer got his second win of the season in the last Late Model feature on Sept. 17. … Other winners this year include Keith Rocco (six wins), Ray Christian III (two wins), Anthony Flannery (two wins) and Bruce Thomas Jr. (two wins). … Rocco leads the standings by 31 points over Flannery. … Rocco needs only to take the green flag Saturday to clinch his third Late Model championship in the last four seasons. Meyer is looking for his first championship. … Charles Canfield got his fourth win of the season in the last Mini Stock feature at the track. … Other Mini Stock winners this year were Wayne Burroughs Jr. (four wins), Jacob Perry (two wins), Jordan Hadley (two wins), Chris Ivory, Dave Trudeau, Ken Cassidy Jr., Ian Brew and Sean Caron. … Burroughs leads second place Cassidy by 21 points in the standings with Canfield in third, 26 points off the lead. Burroughs, who won the Mini Stock championship at Thompson Speedway earlier this year, is looking for his second consecutive Mini Stock title at Waterford.
