Ron Silk Leads The Way In First Whelen Mod Tour NAPA Fall Final 150 Practice At Stafford

STAFFORD – A week after originally scheduled, the NAPA Fall Final festivities kicked off Saturday morning at Stafford Motor Speedway with Ron Silk pacing the way out of the gate for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

Silk, of Norwalk, set fast time of 18.453 seconds (97.545 mph) to lead the first of two Whelen Modified Tour practices Satuday in preparation for Sunday’s NAPA Fall Final 150 at Stafford.

Teams will qualify later today.

Donny Lia of Jericho, N.Y., was second fastest during the session at 18.474 seconds (97.434 mph) around the half-mile oval.

Timmy Solomito of Islip, N.Y., was third fastest during the session at 18.493 seconds (97.334 mph).

Series points leader Doug Coby of Milford was fourth fastest (18.518 seconds, 97.203 mph).

Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, N.Y., who is second in the series standings – 13 points behind Coby – was fifth in practice (18.538 second (97.098 mph).

    Daytona and NASCAR offices pretty well shut down do to Hurricane. Have not updated in a few days.
