Steve Masse Wins Tri-Track Open Modified Series Consolation At Speedbowl

WATERFORD – The last chance riders into the main event for the NorthEast Race Cars & Parts Tri-Track Open Modified Series feature Sunday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl proved to be some familiar names.

Steve Masse of Bellingham, Mass. won the 25-lap consolation event to gain one of the four qualifying positions up for grabs into the 65-lap main event.

Richard Savary of Canton, Mass. was second, Chris Pasteryak of Lisbon third and Dan Meservey Jr. of West Chatham, Mass. fourth to round out the qualifiers to the main event.

Drivers who did not qualify for the event included Troy Talman, Chris Bakaj, Jeff Rocco, Paul Kushueba IV, Scott Adams, Craig Lutz, Mike Benevides, Bill Dixon, Jim Dolan and Dick Houlihan.
