Jon McKennedy Leads The Way In Whelen Modified Tour Practice At Thompson Speedway

THOMPSON – Jon McKennedy, making a surprise start in the Brady Family car was a bigger surprise at the conclusion of NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice in preparation for Wednesday’s Thompson 125 at Thompson Speedway.

McKennedy led the way for the series in the one-hour practice session Wednesday.

The Chelmsford, Mass. driver toured the .625-mile oval with a fast lap of 18.653 seconds.

Donny Lia of Jerich, N.Y. was second fastest during the practice at 18.763 seconds.

Todd Szegedy of Ridgefield ended up third fastest during the session with a fast lap of 18.794 seconds.

Doug Coby of Milford (18.798 seconds and Eric Goodale (18.824 seconds) of Riverhead, N.Y. rounded out the top-five respectively.
