STAFFORD – Morning weather did nothing to slow the pace of Eric Goodale Saturday at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Goodale, of Riverhead, N.Y., led the way in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s NAPA Fall Final 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Goodale toured the half-mile oval with a fast lap of 18.389 seconds.
Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass., winner of the most recent series event last Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, was second fastest during the practice session at 18.411 seconds.
Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., was third on the practice charts at 18.439 seconds.
Series points leader Doug Coby of Milford was fourth fastest at 18.491 seconds.
Ryan Preece of Berlin, looking to sweep all three Whelen Modified Tour events at Stafford this season, was fifth during practice at 18.497 seconds.
