For the third consecutive season, The Valenti Modified Racing Series will compete in Sunday’s New England Short Track Showdown at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, NH.
Drivers from throughout New England and Long Island, New York, have registered to compete.
Current Series point leader and Claremont Speedway winner Mike Willis Jr, of Grantham, NH, has entered the Loudon event. Other series winners this season will compete including Chase Dowling (Thompson), Jeff Gallup and Anthony Nocella, (Lee) and Ronnie Williams (Monadnock).
Thanks to the support of longtime Series sponsors, Hoosier Tire East, and New England Race Fuels (Sunoco) this years 50-lap main event will pay $ 5.000.00 to the race winner.
Saturday June 22 will be a day of practice for competing divisions with Sunday June 23 being race day.
Pre-Race activities will commence at 11:40 AM followed by heat races at 12:30 PM and the first of four feature races at 2:00 PM.

It still feels like when they say the VMRS heads somewhere it’s more like the management team is and they are hoping to attract basically any modified team willing to help them put on a show.
VMRS teams “heading to” for the purpose of chasing points. Not quite as big a deal any more.
