New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s NASCAR race weekend not only features three days of exciting racing action, but five days of fun events for race fans to enjoy that all benefit children in need across New England.
LOUDON, N.H. – Not only is “The Magic Mile” jam-packed with racing action during the upcoming Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 race weekend (July 19-21) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter has a full lineup of fun events that help children in need across New England.
“Race week is a very important week for Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter,” said Hillarie Scott, director of Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter. “With race fans traveling from all over New England, the events are built to keep them entertained and give them memorable experiences throughout the week, all while donating to help the children in need in their own backyard. We’re so thankful for the help from all of the drivers and volunteers who donate their time to help make these events extra special.”
Event Schedule:
Wednesday, July 17 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Laps for Charity: For a $30 donation, drive your own car or sit shotgun in the NHMS Pace Car as it takes three “fast laps” around “The Magic Mile.”
Thursday, July 18 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Charity Clay Shoot presented by NRA: Join NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers Matt Mills and Vinnie Miller for a fun day of clay shooting and enjoy the great outdoors of New Hampshire. Cost is $300/person or $1,000/foursome.
Friday, July 19 at 8:00 a.m.
Champions Breakfast: Celebrate the 2018 NASCAR champions including Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano, NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Tyler Reddick and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore at a breakfast emceed by five-time NHMS winner and NBCSN commentator Jeff Burton and long-time NASCAR pit reporter, magazine editor and 2020 Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence recipient Dick Berggren. Registration is $50/person.
Friday, July 19 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Wicked Good Live Auction: Don’t miss your chance to bid on NASCAR memorabilia and other exciting items including Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series sheet metal and racing gear from many of your favorite drivers. This free event will be held at the Trackside Live Stage, located next to the infield tunnel.
Saturday, July 20 from 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Track Walk presented by PPG: Walk a lap around “The Magic Mile” with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Blaney. Registration is $20/person online at SpeedwayCharities.org through July 18 and $25/person starting July 19 at the Speedway Children’s Charities booth in the Fan Zone. Children 16 and under are free with a paid adult.
Saturday, July 20 & Sunday, July 21
Red Bucket Brigade: Keep an eye out for the red buckets making their way through the grandstands in search of spare change and loose bills to add to the weekend’s fundraising efforts.
Each December, Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter distributes grants to nonprofit organizations in the region. In 2018, 55 grants were distributed totaling $75,190, and since its inception in 2009, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and SCCNH have distributed more than $1.7 million supporting more than 749,000 children across New England.
