(Press Release from the Modified Racing Series)

After a month long layoff thanks in part to a rainout at Lee, NH, July 12, the Valenti Modified Racing Series gets back to action Saturday night August 3rd with a visit to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Scarborough, Maine.
One driver eager to get back to work at Beech Ridge is Rob Richardi Jr.,who on July 6, at Monadnock Speedway, had a podium finish and a strong run throughout the 100-lap race.
Richardi attributes his solid finish and behavior of the car to longtime New Hampshire racer Russ Hersey who has helped the Taunton, Massachusetts.,team sort through some issues.
“Russ has made a huge difference and has been a huge pick me up, said Richardi. He takes a lot of pressure off me. He has made adjustments that I would not normally make. He can diagnose a racecar.”
Richardi continued, “We’ve been a top ten car a lot – now we can be a top five car with hopes of leading to something big,”
Hersey has another commitment Saturday but a fully charged cell-phone will be nearby
During the break in the schedule, Richardi returned to New England Pro-4 competition with a win at Hudson Speedway in New Hampshire.
Mike Willis, of Grantham, NH takes a 33-point lead into Beech Ridge over Jeff Gallup, of Feeding Hills, MA.
Qualifying begins at 7:00 PM.
