On Saturday at Seekonk Speedway the 2019 season for the Tri-Track Open Modified Series came to a wildly dramatic conclusion with the running of the Haunted Hundred.
On the final lap of the feature Ron Silk got under Matt Hirschman for the lead in turn one, but in turn three Hirschman employed an unexpected retaliatory move, driving through the grass to take out Silk, which also collected third place running Matt Swanson and fifth place Ronnie Williams. Hirschman crossed the finish line first, but was immediately disqualified by series officials, giving the victory to Chase Dowling.
