A crazy NASCAR Cup Series schedule comes to a close Sunday with the 2020 Championship event at Phoenix Raceway.
It all comes down to a one-race battle between Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin, Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott and Penske Racing teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano.
Keselowski and Logano are each looking for their second Cup Series titles. Keselowski won his first in 2012. Logano was the 2018 Cup Series champion. Hamlin and Elliott are both looking for a first Cup Series title.
So when the dust settles on Sunday at Phoenix, who will be the NASCAR Cup Series champion? Vote below.
Although Lagano won in the spring, Elliot runs well there, and has momentum. Denny and Brad struggle to win lately, and I’ve got a feeling that Lagano will be on the receiving end of some payback, he’s driven everyone like an idiot this season and he’s due. Who knows, maybe Kenseth will give him a flashback.
i am rooting for Chase. Out of the group, he is the only one I know who doesnt have a championship I think I could be very wrong on that though. Hendrick hasnt won in awhile too and they gave Kyle Larson a ride for next year even though he will be missed on the dirt circuit.
cvs, Hamlin hasn’t won a championship yet either, but I’d rather see Chase get it.
Thanks Rob. I cant root for Hamlin. He wouldn’t even be there if it wasn’t for team orders. They cleared the investigation and there will be no penalty to Gibbs racing for Jones being told not to pass Hamlin ensuring Denny qualified for the final four..
Never really liked Hamlin. Maybe it’s just me, but he comes across as “entitled” like he’s the best driver Gibbs has, even though Kyle Busch has accomplished allot more, Denny comes across like he’s so great just because he won back to back Daytona 500’s. In reality he got handed this year’s race when Newman wrecked. If that wreck hadn’t happened Newman would have won.
If I had to rank the 4 I’d say Elliot, Kez, Hamlin, Lagano.
