I didn’t think I’d ever have vaccine envy but I do……..of Earl. Both shots percolating in his system to give him a measure of confidence when he travels about. It’s a big deal.

Friend of mine got his first today at the Foxwoods site. Some crazed lunatic was in line going on about how crowded the casino was. And they had “murderous blood on their hands” for being open and whatnot. Now I’m assuming it wasn’t Dafella because wherever he’s from the restaurants are closed. But one has to wonder. Folks, you need to understand that these vaccines 💉 are most likely NOT the end of this pandemic. 😷 These vaccines are reducing death and illness, but they are NOT eliminating the pandemic. There is a ways to go, and perhaps 🤔 new and better vaccines. 💉 There will most likely be a need for frequent booster shots.
After all this, we have 15 states with rising cases. Very alarming. The plateau is also alarming, it means the pandemic is staging, simmering, getting ready for another surge. We only have about 10% of the population started with vaccines 💉 and have a very long way to go.
And that the GOP folks are refusing to get vaccinated, and are a large enough segment of the population, means we can never get close to herd immunity.
This pathogen 🦠 is troublesome in that it is far smarter than Earl and Doug combined, and is adapting to attempts to stifle it.
If I may circle back. LOL. The Garden Center was jammed once again. Onward and upward!

well, i was able to get an appointment finally (i’m in mass) just another step to seeing smiles on peoples faces on the midway at stafford, instead of having to imagine them.
The garden centers are indeed jamming!!!! People are finally getting it, the smart ones anyways, and are going easy and careful, and aren’t back to all out socializing, travel, etc. Instead, people are working on their gardens, raising those radishes and squashes. 🌈JD🌈, how does your garden grow?

Excellent question so I asked WeldingWonders. He say’s it will count as one insult in the official tally. I disagreed strenuously but he would not be moved and reminded me all decisions are final. WeldingWonders and I were having some beers Saturday night and watching UCONN under perform in the loss to Maryland in the NCAA tourney. It’s always the person framed in the most sub human terms imaginable. He also said Darealgoodfella serves a useful purpose in the RaceDayCt forum for the energy he brings with his provocative comments on virtually anything. WeldingWonders is a blue collar kind of guy but self taught and very perceptive and may have a point as hard as it is to admit. He also suggested a poll or forum pool to predict the year end tally of insults that looks like 800 or so is not out of the realm of possibility.

The insult counter WeldingWonders does is only entertaining because the level of personal, superficial insults in it directed at so many people is so astronomically high. Anyone is welcome to do something similar with myself or anyone else but it wouldn’t be funny because there would be little or nothing to put in it. Earl has busted my chops for years it seems and I can’t recall one time him calling me an idiot or stupid or a moron which is the way it should be.
Here we’re getting diverted again. It was Earl’s idea for the poll, it was outstanding and that should be the star of this thread. The result is good information as far as I can see. It’s still not crunch time with vaccine distribution that will come in a couple months as vaccine out paces people willing to get vaccinated. 76% is higher then the nation at large and that’s great. It should go up from that as skeptical folks see the lack of negative reactions and do their bit.
There may be a large portion of Republican men that have polled as unwilling to get vaccinated. There’s a larger portion of Republican men that are willing to get vaccinated. Information and education will get all the skeptical folks on board. Partisan insults will do the opposite.

Well, by now, the not-totally-dumb ones around here should know that of those that *say* they are not getting vaccinated, some of them will indeed get vaccinated. Like Trump got secretly vaccinated as he was trying to put up this facade of being tough, while being ambiguous about vaccines. 💉 He does say he is against vaccines. So there will be some portion of those that are saying they will not get vaccinated, that do end up getting vaccinated surreptitiously. Just like Trump, these people are big macho talkers, but are nothing more than YUGE piles of 🐓💩.
Funny 😆 story… I had to go for a skin biopsy a few years ago. As the Doc was collecting the sample, she was talking to me, more as a distraction. There were lots of needles, scalpels and blood involved. She told me that the bigger the man, the more likely he was to faint and fall out of the chair. She told me that all those big guys, with the big beards, covered in tats, leather vest and jackets, and wallets chained to their pants, are the biggest babies by far. 👶 😝😝😝🤣🤣🤣😁😁😝😝😝 Overcompensating for sure.
