Today we celebrate Easter weekend with a special Head to Head RaceDayCT Daily Poll. Some world argue they are the reigning champions of branded Easter confections. The Cadbury Creme Egg and the Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg. So who gets nod for the win from you? Vote below.

Comments

  1. I love chocolate. I love peanut butter.
But I hate the 2 combined, or with each other.
I’ve been told there is something wrong with me.
Oh well, add it to the list!

  2. Cadbury mini-eggs are on the grocery list. I’ll pick up a few creme eggs too.

    🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫 🍫

  3. When I was a kid I loved Cadbury eggs but now I have no idea what I was thinking, don’t think I could eat one if someone paid me. Reese’s though are a different story, as long as they aren’t the sugar free version, I do not recommend sugar free Reese’s.

I still don’t understand why some would ruin a perfectly good piece of chocolate by filling it with peanut butter.

  5. Around this time of year is the only time I have milk chocolate 🍫, because of the Cadbury mini-eggs. Otherwise, it is 75% cacao and greater for me. The TAZA 95% cacao bar is divine. And when I’m really in the chocolate mood, straight cacao beans. Use chocolate nibs in cream, etc. Heck, very high percentage cacao is a super health food.

Chocolate, it’s not just for breakfast anymore.

  6. You could say Shawn hit the sweet spot with this poll.

  7. I cant remember the last time I had a cadbury mini egg. I think I am going to have to go seek one out. Happy Easter everyone. and happy Eno Lirpasti Day……

  8. To all those exposing the rampant bias and click baiting from the Speedbowl to Jimmy Wilson have you noticed the latest example of unequal treatment. Candy indeed…..outrageous. Appearing before the nationally recognized beverage of choice at racing events the once humble beer. No longer humble but now a array of tasty variations with endless craft brew offerings and we get a poll on candy? How far have we sunk from our working class roots? From one Mr. Shawn Courchesne who has been to arguably more races then any race fan and yet is not a consumer of the noble drink of choice at races.
What’s next a poll on our favorite Chablis and quiche ingredients?

  9. Doug,
Full disclosure, I don’t eat candy.

  10. First of all who is the Godless Commie who came up with sugar free peanut butter cups. I have never heard of such a thing and I cant imagine they are any good. I imagine its the type of product you buy once, then never again.

i like the polls. It does what it is intended to. It gets me to check the website regularly probably daily. I think it is difficult to come up with a poll question every day on the topic of racing especially in the off season. Keeps engagement up during the offseason when there isnt much going on in the local racing scene.

csg,I bet it’s the same person who decided caffeine-free sugar-free soda was a good thing. I need to start increasing intake of both to build up energy for the Icebereaker weekend! Pre-race training and a good excuse to indulge in my book! And the polls are great, regardless of topic. Thanks Shawn!

  12. Liz Cherokee says

I love Skrewball Whiskey Peanut Butter Cup Shots! They are the bomb!
    Check them out here: https://homebodyeats.com/skrewball-whiskey-shots/

  13. The godless commie reference is a nice touch of hyperbole but how does one come to that conclusion admittedly having never consumed the product.
Covid19 is rightfully getting the attention now but the diabetes epidemic hasn’t gone away. We’re a country of porkers with 70% of us overweight and 40% obese. The Covid19 death rate is higher in part because of the processed products we eat, the volume we eat them and what they do to us.
Folks consuming no sugar substitutes are not choosing them because they decided they wanted to eat a poor substitute that probably leaves them wanting the real thing all the more. They’re eating or drinking it because the real thing is killing them slowly.
No sugar substitutes, Reeses or otherwise may be worse then the real thing depending on how many chemicals they put in them but it’s not like there isn’t a reason for sugar free products to exist.
