Weather is proving to be ruinous of local holiday weekend racing action.
First it was Stafford Motor Speedway postponing its Friday night card due to a forecast for rain.
Tonight the New London-Waterford Speedbowl is keeping the unfortunate weather trend of the weekend rolling.
Saturday’s second Fast Five racing card at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl has been cancelled.

Tires tires tires. Seems to be a bigger issue then most know . Could have been part of the decision ?
Don’t know if it is true or not however I understand the SK’s & SKL’s are going to alternate weeks for the month of July because of the tire shortage.
Nothing to do with tires, all about Mother Nature. Forecast was 70-80% chance of rain all day and thats pretty much is the way it went. Don’t know how often you read these threads but Stafford canceled on Thursday. I applaud both for doing the right thing.
