After not being able to present any School Bus events in 2020 due to the delayed and shortened season the bus competitors for Saturday night’s Demo Derby should be chomping at the bit to smash and crash these 13-ton machines. Such daredevils as “Cheesebox” Michael Rommeney of Bohemia, “The Punisher” Paul Fox of Riverhead, “Mach Chicken” Robert Savoy of Selden, “The Z-Man” Ryan Zukowski of Riverhead and “Kevo” Kevin Rommeney of East Meadow are just a few drivers to keep an eye on during the heavy hitting spectacular.

Scott Pedersen of Shirley will bring a 5-point lead over Tom Ferrara of Patchogue in the season long championship chase and a 3-point lead over Ferrara in the Miller Lite Triple Crown Series. The Figure Eights will compete in a 20-lap feature.

Over in the Super Pro Truck pits the defending champion Jack Handely Jr. of Medford, Jimmy Rennick Jr. of Howard Beach and Max Handley of Medford were embroiled in a three way battle for the season long SPT title fight going into this past Saturday’s (7/10) race. After the first Miler Lite Triple Crown Series race Max Handley sits atop the MLTCS ranking with Matt Triola of Bay Shore and Rennick in tow heading into the July 17th 30-lapper.

The INEX Bandoleros are back for their fourth race of 2021 with Darren Krantz Jr of Huntington sitting atop their championship ranking heading into Saturday’s 15-lap feature. Krantz a two time winner to date leads Reid Halpin of Wading River and Rodney Dowless Jr of Dix Hills who are tied for second by 14-markers. Chevy Rommeney of Bohemia and Jayden Owen-Bader of Selden are fourth and fifth in the standings.

Completing the racing portion of the program are the Streets Stocks who will go 20-laps with Brian Brown of Riverhead enjoying a 23-point bulge over Brian McCormack of Holbrook heading into Saturday’s race. A Truck Enduro and 4/6-Cylinder Gut & Go Enduro will spice things up just prior to the School Bus Demolition Derby.
