The champion is fully in championship form.

Reigning New London-Waterford Speedbowl SK Modified champion Timmy Jordan continued his fiery hot streak of late Saturday in winning the 35-lap SK Modified feature at the shoreline oval.

It was the third consecutive SK Modified at the Speedbowl for Jordan, of Plainfield.

“This is awesome,” Jordan said. “I never thought I could ever win three in a row. We struggled early. But my car is as good now as it has been all season.”

Todd Owen of Somers was second and Cory DiMatteo of Farmington third.

Jordan took the lead from Owen following a lap nine restart and never trailed again.

“Timmy just had the better car,” Owen said, “There wasn’t much that I could do.”

Jason Palmer of Berlin scored the win in a photo finish with Ray Christian III of Uncasville in the 30-lap Late Model feature.

Palmer and Christian dueled for the final 15 laps and ultimately finished in a dead heat at the line with matching transponder times. Track officials declared Palmer the winner.

“I always loved the top groove here,” Palmer said. “If you can move to the high side, you’ll usually take over the spot.”

“It’s just so tough to get off the bottom here,” Christian said.

John O’Sullivan of Salem was victorious in the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature.

Jon Puleo of Branford was second and Buddy Charette of Woodstock third.

Chris Garside of Groton won the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. Charles Canfield of East Haven was second and Doug Curry of Groton third.

Jordan Churchill of Lisbon won the 20-lap Legends feature.
