The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced an agreement with Milton CAT for them to sponsor the Midsummer Classic 250 at North Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park. The equipment and power systems dealer will present the fifth edition of the $10,000-to-win ACT Late Model Tour event on July 30, 2022.
Milton CAT joins an event that has rapidly become a crown jewel on the ACT schedule. The Midsummer Classic 250 began in 2018 as a standalone White Mountain Late Model event. It joined the ACT schedule in 2019 and regularly produces some of the best racing on the schedule as drivers chase the $10,000 top prize.
Barre, VT’s Jason Corliss, a three-time Thunder Road Late Model champion, edged D.J. Shaw for the 2021 Midsummer 250 victory. He did so in a finish that’s still talked about, driving the last four laps of the race with his car’s hood lying on the windshield obstructing his view. Other previous Midsummer 250 winners include Eddie MacDonald, Wayne Helliwell Jr., and Dillon Moltz, three notable names in Northeast Late Model racing.
As of the agreement, Milton CAT will have signage and equipment displays at the Midsummer Classic 250 to promote their machinery. The company will also be part of pre-race and post-race activities.
