Rum Town/Legion Speedway Under New Ownership

(Press release from Legion Speedway)

The 1/4-mile dirt track located in Wentworth, NH. has changed hands and is now under new ownership starting with the 2022 race season. Ron Giroux, current Sprint Cars of New England Series Director along with Bill Dawley, have taken over control of the speedway under the newly formed R&B Motorsports. Giroux will assume the role of Promoter and General Manager. With the ownership change, the speedway will once again be known as Legion Speedway.

Ron Giroux noted: “I have raced at the speedway several times with SCoNE and saw some great potential for the facility to grow so after some conversations with then owner Dan Bowne, we came to an agreement and moved forward with acquiring the track.”

Giroux went on to state: “Plans are still coming together for the upcoming season and there has been a lot of interest from teams and series who want to run at the facility so I know we will have a great 2022 for the fans and racers alike”.

The season will kick-off in late May 2022 with opening day events and racing.
