Thompson Notes: Alexander Pearl Wins Wreck Marred SK Light Modified Feature At Sunoco World Series

THOMPSON – Alexander Pearl came out on top of the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature Sunday at the Sunoco World Series at Thompson Speedway. 

It was the first feature victory at Thompson for the Salem driver. 

“We started deep and I just stayed out of the crap,” Pearl said. “Just really happy having never won here. … The car was absolutely on rails.” 

Tyler Barry of Griswold was second and John O’Sullivan of Salem third. 

The race started with a massive wreck as the field came onto the frontstretch to take the green flag. 

Shawn Monahan of Waterford moved Tyler Chapman out of the lead on lap 31 and went  on to win the 35-lap Exit Realty Truck Series feature. 

Duane Noll of Monroe was second and Gerard Giordano Jr. of Warwick, R.I. was third. 

Avery Stoehr of Lakeville, Mass. won the 20-lap NEMA Lites feature. 

Dan Cugini of Marshfield, Mass. was second and Dylan Coutu of Griswold third.
