Going to see a bunch of racing that 1st weekend: Fri 7/14 WMMP, PASS SLM, Modifieds, NESS, & SMAC. Sat 7/15 Seekonk Boston Louie, NEMA & Lites, Pro & LM. Sun 7/16 NHMS Crayon 301.

  2. We are absolutely blessed to live in the Connecticut/Massachusetts area as race fans. I’ve been to 119 race tracks in the USA, and though there are some I’ve not been to in awhile, Social media let’s me see what they’ve been doing fairly well.

We have Stafford Motor Speedway, Loudon New Hampshire, Waterford Speedbowl, Star Speedway. These are the most accessible race tracks for disabled, or wheelchair users I’ve ever attended. These tracks also provide the best competition. Look at this list of events and its easy to see how lucky we are to have 5 or 6 really exciting events!

  3. I agree with you, except for your characterizing Star Speedway as accessible for the disabled. Though recently painted, the stands remain very unstable, have only poorly painted yellow lines for aisles, and spaces between the seats and footrests through which an adolescent could fall, and virtally no lighting anywhere. This contributed in no small part to my eighty-three year old friend’s falling in the upper stands (the best sight lines but least accomodating) there last Saturday night. Thankfully, we were in the second row and several wonderful fans, including a couple of guys from Springfield who love Stafford, helped immediately. It is disappointing, considering all Star has endured.
Overall, I agree with your points wholeheartedly and am glad to see someone who appreciates getting out to enjoy racing in person, despite your condition. I habe a family member with limited mobility and enjoy that she gets out more than those more mobile, who are often glued to the furniture and mesmerized by their phones.

I have the NWMT in my plans for back to back weeks. 30 mins away from me this Saturday and about 5.5 hours next Saturday depending on traffic. Coming up for the modifieds and staying for the cup race.
