RaceDayCT Poll: Who Will Win The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series NAPA Fall Final At Stafford?

With weather issues looking seemingly unavoidable on Saturday in the Waterford area, management of the New London-Waterford Speedbowl – in conjunction with Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and the American-Canadian Tour – made the decision to move Saturday’s Haunted Hundred Racing card to Sunday.
The Haunted Hundred card includes the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Constantine Paving & Sealing 100, a 100-lap American-Canadian Tour feature, a 50-lap SK Light Modified feature and a 50-lap Open Street Stock event.
Speedbowl management also announced their “Crowning of Champions” night originally scheduled for Friday, has been postponed to Saturday Nov. 4.
Not a big fan of a 3 o’clock start
Seekonk Fan,
I guess I’m to assume you think that’s too late? It would be hard to get features going any earlier. Can’t have anything on track before noon on a Sunday in Connecticut.
THe way Mother Nature has been this year, I think we just need to be thankful that the weather doesn’t look too bad on Sunday.
Stafford has been able to pull strings to start a motor on sunday before noon. CT sucks – Also if a division doesn’t have a full field of cars – they don’t need practice and heats – one our the other is fine. JMO
That’s correct Steve. That’s why if a division at Waterford has less than 12 cars they have group qualifying instead of heats which will be far from the case Sunday.
I pulled my boat out of the water today, the water is rough, high winds, high tide. started pouring rain, then out of nowhere, the sun came out, the wind stopped, and it was beautiful. But then it changed 20 minutes later, and became windy, and rainy again… Point is, it’s going to be VERY unpredictable weather all weekend down here on the shoreline, with a little patience, they can get the entire show in. Be prepared to bring sunscreen, a jacket, and a raincoat too, and end up using all of them throughout the day, but you WILL see great racing.
