Comments

  1. As of 10.25 there are 44 cars on the entry list. Weather looks good. Should be a great show.

  2. Just Saying says

I don’t see little señor Justin Bonsignore on the entry list for Stafford I thought he was a race driver

  3. Capt. Mike Qbvious says

I count seven drivers on the entry list for both Martinsville and Stafford: Ron Silk, Matt Hirschman, Craig Lutz, Eric Goodale, Bryan Narducci, Anthony Bello, and Kyle Bonsignore. (It remains to be seen if all seven actually do the double.) Frankly, that’s more than I expected given the circumstances: Martinsville Thursday night, Stafford Saturday afternoon, and an 11+ hour drive between the two without including stops. It’s a lot to ask of drivers and teams who (with the exception of Hirschman) aren’t doing this for a living.

  4. I don’t know about Bello but I believe only the 58 and 3 are using the same crews. Silk, Hirschman, Lutz, and K Bonsignor are different cars and crews aren’t they?

  5. Doug,
Silk is entered into the Stafford event with his Haydt-Yannone Racing team that will be competing tonight at Martinsville.

  6. A few weeks back I saw Kopcik selling the 16 out of his shop. I assumed that was a different car, different team, maybe different none spec engine perhaps with support form HYR. Can you shed light on how that worked at all?
    Thank you in advance!

  7. FYI kids get 5 bucks off general admission if they show up in a Halloween costume. NAPA pit party too. Weather looks great.

The SK Light invitational. What are the parameters to get invited. Is the SK race a points race? Schedule says no heats for SKs lined up based on points. So I would think it’s a point paying event if they are using points for lineups. Looks like they will get in 17 SK events this year. I think they usually have around 22 events scheduled. Stafford released next seasons schedule with 24 events. Rain has been an issue.

  8. Doug,
I’m not sure the details on all of that deal involving Ron Silk driving a Stephen Kopcik owned car previously this season. All I know is that in previous races Ron Silk has run this season with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, Stephen Kopcik was listed as the car owner. For this race Haydt-Yannone Racing is listed as the car owner.

  9. CSG,
My understanding is the SK Light Invitational is for anyone that didn’t win an SK Light event at Stafford this year. The SK Modified event is a points event.

  10. I heard Pearl and West not running this weekend in SKL…
