Riverhead Raceway East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy Entries Nearing 40

(Press Release from Riverhead Raceway)

If early registration for the inaugural East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy 200 Sunday November 12th is any indication, the $5,000 to win spectacular will be a competitive affair with drivers from across the Northeast converging on Riverhead Raceway. As of Friday November 3rd, early registration lists 38 teams planning on making the trip to Long Island in an eclectic mix of full-bodied race cars & trucks.

“We are beyond pleased and excited with early registration” noted Riverhead GM John Ellwood, it was John’s concept to introduce the 200-lapper, hoping in part “to recapture the National Parts Peddler vibe from back in the day at Pocono Raceway”. Ellwood, teaming up with Riverhead Chief of Technical Inspection Randy Murray came up with a rules package for the Full Fender Fall Frenzy hoping to draw the interest the race seems to be drawing, with a large out-of-state interest.

The First State of New Hampshire will be well represented at the 200 with Jake Silva of Stark, NH, Charlie Baldwin of Hudson, NH, Scott Wiggins of Somersworth, NH, and Jimmy Renfrew of Candia, NH all registering. Other New England teams heading southbound on Route 95 include Travis Lovejoy of Waterboro, Maine., Adam Lovejoy of Sanford, Maine., Jason Woodward of Waterbury Center, VT and Mitch Bombard of Willimantic, Ct have also registered. Bombard has teamed up with 2023 Riverhead Raceway Figure Eight champion Ken Hyde Jr. of Medford who will strap into Mitch’s ride for the 200. Bombard saw Hyde’s FB post seeking a ride and the two have been friendly, so the deal was struck.

Frank Curtis Jr. of Mooresville, NC, a L.I. native will come home for the 200 hoping for success. Heading east towards Riverhead for the East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy November 12th include some of the best out of the Keystone State. Mike Pollack of Freeland, Pa., Brandon Cook of Wyoming Valley, Pa., Al Stone III of Freeland, Pa and the father son tandem of Tommy & Thomas Flanagan of Bethlehem, Pa. have all filed registration forms.

Hoping to protect the home turf in their Riverhead Raceway Street Stocks and keeping the $5,000 on Long Island will be 2023 and multi-time champion Dave Antos of Lindenhurst, Gerard Lawrence of Rocky Point, Brian Brown of Calverton, Danny Pizzo of Holbrook, James Dipietro of N. Massapequa, Chris Lescenski of Riverhead, PJ McGay of Sag Harbor, and Luke Foerster of E. Islip.

With the East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy 200 rules package opened up, Eric Lutz of Miller Place, Jenn Krpata of St. James and Brian Doyle of Medford to dust off some former Charger cars for the 200. Blunderbust regulars Cody Triola of Bay Shore and Tom Puccia of Shirley will field their Saturday night cars for the event while 2011 Super Pro Truck champion Dave Koenig of Baldwin will field his truck.
