RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Saturday was a day of frustration for competitors, officials and fans of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Riverhead Raceway. 

Showers forced the postponement of the Miller Lite Salutes Wayne Anderson 200 to Sunday because of steady afternoon and evening showers at Riverhead. 

Before the action got called off RaceDayCT’s Fran Lawlor was taking in the view from the pits at Riverhead.

    Thanks again Fran and also Jim for sharing the photos from the races with us. Always creative and never disappoints.
    I noticed awhile back in the photos of one of the races in memory of Goldy. Is this the same Goldy from back in the day of the Mod Series Scene forum board? I enjoyed the input way back then from that “Goldy” and back and forth banter by keyboard. Whether the same one or not this one in the memoriam is gone too soon.
