Derek Gluchacki Tops Late Model Special Event At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

Derek Gluchacki of North Dartmouth, Mass. scored victory in the 100-lap Late Model feature at the Full Fendered Throwdown Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. 

Jason Palmer of Berlin was second and Cory DiMatteo of Farmington third. 

Aaron Plemons of Uncasville won the 25-lap Street Stock feature. 

Ed Gertsch Jr. of East Haven was second and Norm Root III of Old Saybrook was third. 

Ryan Lineham of Hope Valley, R.I. won the 25-lap Open Street Stock feature. 

Al Stone III of Durham was second and Corey Hutchings of Salem third. 

Charles Canfield of East Haven topped the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. 

John Bavolaco of Stratford was second and David Dorr of Gales Ferry third. 

Tyler Chapman of Mystic won the 25-lap Truck feature. 

Brad Strickland of Uncasville was second and Austin Long of Waterford third.

  1. Man what a Great evening of racing! good car counts, a lot of trucks, a lot of fast late models, a lot of passing and slicing, and dicing. Even with the circus 2 miles down the road the stands had a good crowd.
