Wow, none of the critics have anything to say about this I’m shocked
Just Saying,
Judging by the social media reaction to the story, I would say the Pro-Fox side of the local racing folks outnumbered the Anti-Fox side by about 99-1.
There has been some cheers about this news, predictably from teams and competitors recently suspended or otherwise penalized at SMS by Tom Fox. That has been overwhelmingly drowned out by the thanks and support from the community in general. The race official has a thankless job and takes a lot of flack weekly. Typically there is one happy person then 15-30 people that didn’t win that misdirect their anger towards tech, the flagman, race director, etc in the shop and on social media until the next race then do it all over again.
Being fair and objective is rare it seems in this emotional world. This is another difficulty in finding the next race director. Luckily we have some runway in front of us before the next event starts back up. Looking forward to the future!
