The NATIONAL SHORT TRACK PROMOTIONS,. is very excited to announce the first driver to register for the 2025 EAGLE CHEVY PERFORMANCE point fund for 602 asphalt modifieds that compete at the nine NORTHEAST asphalt tracks on regular basis. NICK BAER sent his $75 membership fee in to be the initial driver to enter to go for the $1,500 first place champion’s award of a total payout of $20,120 to fifty drivers.
“As the operating manager of the NSTP, JOE LEWANDOSKI expects a flood of memberships to be mailed in over the next six weeks because the EAGLE CHEVY PERFORMANCE point fund runs from MAY 22nd to SEPTEMBER 22nd .”
Besides the money, new 602 motor, modified parts and modified parts an additional benefit is the top 20 in the final points for the EAGLE CHEVY PERFORMANCE point fund will receive a guaranteed starting position in the TWIN 75 lap championship races to be hosted in late OCTOBER at a TRACK (TBD).
Nick’s racing career started as a quarter midget racer at the Keystone Quarter Midget track in Schnecksville, PA. He moved on to racing a Pro 4 at Mahoning Valley Speedway as the Rookie of the year and in 2014 and won the Pro 4 championship in 2015 at the age of 16. Nick continued to race at Mahoning Valley and Evergreen Raceway where he won the B Mod championship in 2017. Modified racing continued throughout 2018 and 2019 running a tour mod. Covid had an adverse affect on racing in 2020 but Nick finished in the top 5 for the few races that were run that year. In 2021, the 602 Modified division started and Nick won the championship in 2022 and 2023. He continues to run both Mahoning Valley and Evergreen Raceway hoping for a very successful upcoming season.
