The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing became sort of the Patrick Emerling show over the six nights of racing Modifieds at the track last month.
Emerling kicked off the week by winning the NASCAR Modified Tour season opening event. Then when it came to the five nights of racing for the Tour Type Modified division Emerling ended up with three wins, a second and a third, walking away with his first championship for the division.
Emerling will carry that momentum into Icebreaker weekend March 29 and 30, where he’ll be doing double duty. Emerling will continue his fight for a NASCAR Modified Tour title with that division on March 30 and will also be in the lineup for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season opening event on March 29.
We caught up with Patrick to talk about his hot start, the way his second year team has come together and plenty more.
