Rumors have swirled for months that longtime NASCAR Cup Series crew member and Modified team owner and driver Gary Putnam could be in line as the new series director for the Whelen Modified Tour.
On Monday RaceDayCT broke the story that NASCAR would name Putnam as the new series director.
