On Saturday night Tyler Rypkema finished third in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 200 at Martinsville Speedway.
It followed up a second place finish for Rypkema in the season opening series event at New Smyrna Speedway on Feb. 7
The third place finish vaulted Rypkema into the lead of the Whelen Modified Tour standings after two events.
