What’s Happening?

It’s not just a 70’s TV show anymore, it’s the overriding theme of the 2026 racing season at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

On Sunday March 8, less than a week away, daylight savings time will kick in. An extra hour of daylight each evening.

It’s the annual sign that we’re getting so close to racing season.

But at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, as of now, it’s just darkness and it’s unclear if daylight savings time can even bring more light to that darkness.

And could it be darkness for the entirety of 2026 at the track?
