White Mountain Back In Action With NEAR Antique Racers, Track Championship Battles Resume

(Press release from White Mountain Motorsports Park)

After rains cancelled last Saturday’s planned showcase, Thunder will return to the Mountains this Saturday, June 13 at White Mountain Motorsports Park with the help of the New England Auto Racers! The weekly warriors have no doubt put in extra time at the shop to get all the speed possible out of their trusty machines and they are ready to strut their stuff on the highbanks this Saturday!

The New England Auto Racers (NEAR) have long held a place in the Northeast, celebrating the stars and cars of yesteryear and the rich racing traditions of the region. The NEAR organization visits some of the oldest facilities in New England to showcase the Big Iron that came long before the modern Late Models that call White Mountain home, giving fans an up-close view of how far things have come! Both the Sportsman and Modified divisions will race the White Mountain highbanks on Saturday evening.

The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models will battle in a fifty-lap main event this weekend as Kasey Beattie leads 10-time champion Quinny Welch in the standings. Welch, Kyle Goodbout, Colin Cornell and Mike ‘Beetle’ Bailey remain separated by just four points with all looking to break the mold this Saturday night.

Derby’s Kyle Willis has been basking in a career season so far among The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers but looks to take win number one in this week’s 35-lap main event. With last week’s rainout, White Mountain officials have made some late-season schedule changes. Following the ACT Twin-State Series rain postponement for Riverside Speedway in Groveton to August 16, the Central Asphalt Paving Triple Crown Champion will be crowned on Saturday, August 8 in a 100 lap, $2,000-to-Win format!

The Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Caulder Construction Dwarf Cars and Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division also return to the track this Saturday. Jacob Roy, Donnie Baumgardner and Nate ‘Tater’ Brien lead the Strictly Minis while everyone is chasing Jason Wyman in the Dwarf Cars. With Gracen Gorham, Chloe Doyle and Evan Folsom having taken the first three Kids Division wins, who will be next?

White Mountain Motorsports Park is ready for Saturday Night Racing with the New England Auto Racers (NEAR) on Saturday, June 13! The NEAR Antique Racers celebrate the good ol’ days while the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models, The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division, and Caulder Construction Dwarf Cars join the fun for a 6:00pm Post Time!

Grandstands open at 3:15pm with Adult General Admission set at $15, kids 6-12 are $5 and children five and under are free! The Family Four Pack (two adults, two kids) will also be available for $30.
