Parker Kligerman To Compete In NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Event At Lime Rock Park

(Press Release from Lime Rock Park)

As a child, Parker Kligerman sat on Spectator Hill at Lime Rock Park watching race cars thunder through Big Bend and fly over the Uphill. It was also where he first climbed behind the wheel of a race car.

Next weekend (July 10-11), the Westport-native will return to the place where his racing journey began, this time as a NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series driver.

Kligerman has signed with Spire Motorsports to drive the No. 77 Delaware Life Chevrolet Silverado RST in the LIUNA 150 at Lime Rock Park on Saturday, July 11, giving Connecticut fans the opportunity to cheer on one of their own during NASCAR’s return to the historic road course.

The weekend will begin with another hometown celebration as Kligerman joins fans during the free NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Hauler Parade and Pit Stop Party at the White Hart Inn in Salisbury on Thursday, July 9 from 4-6 p.m.

Following the parade, Kligerman will participate in the Driver Meet & Greet beginning at 4:45 p.m. alongside NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series driver Tanner Gray and TRICON Garage crew chief Scott Zipadelli.

For Kligerman, the appearance is more than another stop on the schedule. The return carries additional weight as Kligerman is also a partial owner of Lime Rock Park, giving him a unique connection to the venue beyond the driver’s seat.

“Lime Rock was the first track I visited as a kid and the first place I ever drove a racecar,” Kligerman said. “To go from that 10-year-old fan in the hills, to part-owner, to now actually racing a NASCAR truck here is a dream I didn’t even know to dream. It’s hard to put into words how special this weekend is.”

The LIUNA 150 marks NASCAR’s second visit to Lime Rock Park following last year’s successful debut, which established a modern attendance record for The Park. The weekend will feature the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, the ARCA Menards Series and USF Juniors competing on the 1.53-mile, seven-turn road course.

Friday, July 10, begins with the Lime Rock 100 from the ARCA Menards Series and racing from both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and USF Juniors on Saturday, July 11.

Event information and tickets are available at https://limerock.com/events/nascar/. Active military and veterans receive free admission (with proper military identification). All children 12 and under get in free on Friday and Saturday with a ticketed adult.
