WATERFORD – Josh Galvin made his debut in the Mr. Rooter New England Truck Series Saturday one to remember.

Galvin, of Franklin, made the most of his home track advantage with the series by rolling to victory in the 30-lap Mr. Rooter New England Truck Series feature Saturday at Waterford.

“It feels great,” Galvin said. “It’s first time every driving one of these things. The first time the Mr. Rooter Truck has been in victory lane so it’s really special.”

Galvin, the 2014 Limited Sportsman division champion at Waterford, is a regular in the track’s SK Light Modified division.

Frank Dumicich Jr. of East Quoque, N.Y was second and Frank Dumicich Sr. of East Quoque, N.Y. third.

Galvin went by Frank Dumicich Sr. for the lead with 15 laps remaining in the feature and never trailed again.

Galvin is one of a handful of drivers racing in the Vin Beedle owned truck this year with the series.

“It’s kind of a big deal getting this thing together,” Galvin said. “[Beedle] got a hold of this truck and we worked hard on it. I’ve got to thank my father. He just didn’t quit on this thing. We spent about 40 hours on this thing getting it ready. He just doesn’t quit. I’ve got to thank him for this one. And the whole Mr. Rooter race team, these guys just don’t stop digging. This is just so cool. I don’t even have any words.”
