Thompson Notes: Duane Noll Wins New England Truck Series Event

THOMPSON – Duane Noll of Monroe scored the victory in the 20-lap New England Truck Series event Thursday at Thompson International Speedway.

Jason Lafayette of Somers was second and Corey Coates of Ledyard third.

“We had a fast truck,” Noll said. “It was fast the last time we were here at the World Series [last October]. We got a lighter body on it we worked on it and made a few adjustments to make it better. We knew we had a good piece.”

The victory helped extend Noll’s points lead in the New England Truck Series standings.

Steve Kenneway of Lowell, Mass. won the 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature. Jesse Gleason of Lisbon was second and Scott Sundeen of Douglas, Mass. third.

Scott Michalski of Killingly won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature. Travis Jurcik of Chaplin was second and Steve Michalski of Brooklyn third.

Cam McDermott of Scitiuate, R.I. won the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature. Corey Barry of Plainfield was second and Troy Talman of Oxford, Mass. third.

John Falconi of Oakham, Mass. won his second consecutive event in the 25-lap Late Model feature. Tommy O’Sullivan of Springfield, Mass. was second and Jeff Hartwell of Putnam third.

Chad LaBastie of Uxbridge, Mass. picked up his first career victory in the 20-lap Thompson Modified feature. John Lowinski-Loh Jr. of Milford, Mass. was second and Danny Gamache Jr., of Woonsocket, R.I. third.
