Cory Casagrande Keeps Winning Ways Rolling In Limited Late Model At Stafford Speedway

STAFFORD – Cory Casagrande had podium finishes in his first 10 races of the season, though it took him 12 races before he could find victory lane.

But since getting that first win, Casagrande has kept making regular trips to victory lane.

Casagrande, of Stafford, won the 15-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway, the first of two features for the division at the track Friday.

It was the third victory in the last four events for Casagrande. DJ Burnham of East was second and Josh Wood of Palmer, Mass. third.

Casagrande started 13th in the 14 car field. He passed Glenn Bartkowski for the lead on lap nine.

“Thankfully, all the guys that aren’t very good start up front and they all drive up the hill the first corner and just about wreck, Casagrande said. “That’s five spots we gained right there. All we had to do was really pass two cars. It was tough, [Bartkowski] was blocking, but I got a good run on him coming out of [turn] four and we were able to get the win.”
