Big Money Pit Crew Challenge Highlights Attractions At Frank Maratta Auto And Race-A-Rama Show

Think you and your race team have got the skills to pay the bills when it comes to going over the wall and servicing a racecar?

Then the Frank Maratta Auto And Race-A-Rama Show will be just the place to show off those skills in competition for some cash.

The Frank Maratta Auto And Race-A-Rama Show takes place March 1-2 at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass.

The highlight of day one at the show will be Saturday evening’s pit crew challenge, where $500 will be on the line for one team who can best complete service on a Camping World Truck Series ride from Al Lane’s The Racing School.

The Pit Crew Challenge will set five-man teams in a timed pit stop at the show. New rules this year set that each five man team must be a unique group, with no individuals participating with multiple teams. The Frank Maratta Auto And Race-A-Rama Show runs Saturday March 1 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday March 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays exhibition schedule includes appearances by super model Vida Guerra at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.New Frank Maratta Show 300

Saturday’s schedule in West Springfield will also feature a live broadcast of Overdrive Radio hosted by Matt Buckler taking place from the display floor in the Eastern States Exposition’s Better Living Center. The broadcast will feature a special array of guests centered around the Race-A-Rama show.

At 2 p.m. on Saturday the Follow A Dream with Jay Blake exhibition will take place. Blake was blinded in an industrial accident in 1997 but still serves as the crew chief for the drag racing team he owns. Blake his team, who have been featured on the NBC Today Show, CNN, the CBS Evening News, ESPN and the New York Times, will tear down and rebuild a Top Funny Car during the exhibition at the show.

The show will also feature a live airbrushing display by Richard Markham from opening on Saturday until closing on Sunday.
