Tri-Track Open Modified Series Returning To Seekonk Speedway For Two Events In 2022

(Press release from the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series)

Tri Track Open Modified Series officials released two more dates for the 2022 schedule on Tuesday evening, both at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. The third-mile will host the two annual Tri Track events again next season — with the $10,000 to win Open Wheel Wednesday set for Wednesday, June 29 and the Haunted Hundred set to return on Saturday, October 22.

In 2021, Matt Hirschman won the 16th annual Open Wheel Wednesday, becoming the first driver to win the race four times, while Chase Dowling dominated the Haunted Hundred en route to Victory Lane. The Seekonk Haunted Hundred will once again serve as the championship race for Tri Track in 2022.

“Seekonk Speedway is the home of the Tri Track Open Modified Series,” Wayne Darling, Managing Partner of the Tri Track Open Modified Series, said. “We enjoy heading there each year and these two events have become some of the most prestigious — not only in our schedule — but in New England Modified racing. We’re excited to continue to set our dates for the new season.”

“We’re happy to welcome back Tri Track for two more exciting open-wheel modified events for the 2022 season,” Ed St. Germain, Director of Business Development at Seekonk Speedway, said. “The Tri Track Series offers some great racing at the Action Track of the East and history shows the best drivers make their way to Massachusetts for these races. With Open Wheel Wednesday and the Haunted Hundred now set, our 2022 schedule is taking shape.”

  1. One each Thunder Road, Star and 2 at Seekonk. Monadnock for one at least so does that leave any hope for a race outside the box at Stafford? You’re going to say know aren’t you?
Schedule coming soon says Stafford and that’s it’s own drama. 6 or 7 tour modified opens with outsiders completely shut out. They wouldn’t do that would they?
Hope is still alive for a TTOMS and NWMT race being the ideal.

  2. If they’re going to thunder road, maybe they will go to wmmp. The wmt races in 2020 were really good there, a very racey 1/4 mile.

  3. Fast Eddie,
Not saying that there wouldn’t be a White Mountain date at some point in the future for the Tri-Track Open Modified Series, I can tell you with a confident level of certainty that the series will not be at White Mountain in 2022.

  4. How about Tri-Track working with ACT/ Pass at TSMP for the Tri-Track Open Outlaw 125 !!!!!!

  5. Shawn that comment makes me think you know the Tri Track schedule which I would love to know. I know they said more dates will be announced this week. They seem to have gone to the bullring bash way of teasing out information on a somewhat consistent and regular basis. One thing I do find interesting, in years past Tri Track would always wait until the Whelen modified tour schedule came out then kind of work around them. It doesnt appear to be a priority now, Tri track is releasing some of their schedule before Nascar releases their full schedule. Seems to be quite a shift over the past couple of years.

  6. Maybe a quick pole to ask…. where would you like to see Tri Track go in 2022?

    Stafford
    Thompson
    Waterford
    Riverhead
    Lee
    Claremont
    Hudson
    Oxford
    White Mt
    Beech Ridge
