A clear and sunny Sunday was awakened with the sound of Thunder in the Mountains as the Pro All Stars Series invaded White Mountain Motorsports Park in day two of action for the North Woodstock oval. Cars from across New England made the Sunday trek to New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track and didn’t disappoint the fans in the stands or the viewers on Racing America!

Heat race winners Bobby Timmons and Ben Seitz got the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) off to a lightning-fast start to head the Sunday program with their 50-lap main event. After Timmons and Seitz took off with the lead, the battle mid-pack became the ultimate showdown with a collection of drivers rounding Mark ‘Sparky’ McIver for position. Hitting the halfway point in just four-and-a-half minutes, Timmons kept pace around the field, leaving his closest competition a ten-car-lengths behind. A quick caution set up a final nine-lap battle between Timmons and second-place runner Dan Bowles as Bowles charged out ahead on the outside groove. Dan Bowles would take the win over Bobby Timmons and Matt Swanson with Swanson taking the fastest lap of the event at a blistering 10.548-seconds around the highbanks!

Under the leadership of Dan Brown and Henry Hudson, the PASS Modifieds started their second event in the Weston’s Automotive Challenge! Hudson quickly backpedaled from the outside pole, allowing Jacoby Maines and Chanler Harrison a chance at Brown. A slowed Zach Bowie brought out the first caution on lap 12, rekindling the battle between Maines and Brown before Maines again stole the lead away. The caution flew once more for Henry Hudson as he lost steering with Maines, again, pouncing on the restart opportunity. As laps wound down, the pressure mounted for Maines but he was able to take his first career PASS Modified win over a hard-charging Ryan Hewins with Spencer Morse coming home third.

Dillon Moltz got the jump on D.J. Shaw to lead the opening circuits of the PASS Super Late Model 150. With the top three settled in early, the battle for fourth was on between Garrett Hall, Jeremy Davis and Austin Teras. The first caution waved shortly after on lap 19 as Mike Scorzelli and Pat Corbett went careening through turn three and plugged up the main thoroughfare. Moltz kept pace ahead of Gabe Brown and Shaw as Johnny Clark joined the mix against Jeremy Davis. Clark, after opting for the back-up car with his primary ride just not up to snuff in practice, battled for sixth and cautiously looked for more.

Corbett brought out a second caution on lap 47 with a turn three spin, building another fight at the front for Moltz and D.J. Shaw. Moltz launched to keep the lead as Max Cookson looked to join the top three under Gabe Brown. That battle would end on lap 63 as a mechanical malfunction in the #47 sent Brown into the frontstretch wall, dumping fluid along the top of turns one and two to end his strong run. Although Cookson and Teras tried their best, Dillon Moltz ran away with the PASS 150 win as D.J. Shaw took second and Max Cookson took third.

The Prelude to the Midsummer Classic Qualifier event for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models wrapped up the afternoon’s racing activities. Polesitter Tanner Woodard grabbed the jump from the start over Jimmy Renfrew Jr. and powered to lead lap one. Renfrew backed up to fight Kasey Beattie side-by-side for fourth as Woodard only increased his lead on the field. While Beattie eventually won the battle for fourth, Jaden Perry, Saturday night winner Kaiden Fisher and Tom Carey III began swapping lanes, and paint, for sixth.

The lone caution came out on lap 39 for the stalled Jimmy Renfrew Jr., pouring more salt on a wound-filled doubleheader weekend for the Sullivan Construction team at White Mountain. Woodard battled for a short time with Jesse Switser before again running away with the lead, all the way to the $2,000 win under the twin checkered flags. Jesse Switser came home second with Kasey Beattie rounding out the podium.

White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in action on Saturday, July 20 with a six division card headlined by the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars plus visits from the New England Pro-4 Modifieds and the rescheduled Little Webb’s 350 Supermodified Series! 1. Fast Eddie says

This was a great afternoon of racing! Car counts were good for a 1/4 mile track. Very few cautions so things kept moving right along. The practice sessions were 10-15 minutes each. they started at 3 pm and I was still home south of Boston by 9 pm. Good stuff!

  2. Congrats to Dylan Moltz and his team for the PASS win. Seems like just yesterday that he was just a kid hanging out in the pits at Stafford, waiting till he could drive. Congrats again great job!👍👍
