Reunited: Woody Pitkat To Drive For Danny Watts Jr. In Whelen Mod Tour Event At Monadnock

Woody Pitkat will make his return to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour a reuniting affair on July 20 at Monadnock Speedway.

Pitkat will make his first Whelen Modified Tour start of the season driving for team owner Danny Watts Jr. in the Dual At The Dog 250 at Monadnock Speedway.

Pitkat drove for Watts on the Whelen Modified Tour from late in the 2017 season until late in the 2019 season.

Watts retired from full-time competition on the Whelen Modified Tour following the 2023 season.

“It’s an opportunity get back with Danny,” Pitkat said. “… When we went our separate ways a few years back it was not on bad terms by any means. I love those guys to death and we’ve always stayed close.”

It will be the first of a number of selected events this season for Pitkat and Watts to run on the Whelen Modified Tour. The effort will also include support from Steve Greer of Gunsmoke Stables Racing.
